What are we about?
At hardnines, we share an appreciation for all things golf, but especially the every-day golf experience. While destination courses and exclusive clubs are nice and bucket-list items, we’ll take a local muni with a slack dress code and loose enforcement of the outside cooler rules nine times out of ten.
We’ve had some of our best rounds (maybe not lowest scores) checking out local tracks from the Cascade mountains of Cle Elum, Washington to the strangely swampy inner-city of Jacksonville, Florida. You can regularly find us battling the elements on a day that keeps other golfers indoors and are always down for a back nine scramble to avoid seeing what the scorecard would look like on our own ball.
What's a hardnine?
Hardnines was born out of the same mentality as hard 90s from baseball lexicon; hustling hard out of the batter's box, full effort each time out. We mostly used that sarcastically after a HBP, and now we similarly apply it sarcastically to our golf. The hard nines are the ones you squeeze in before work or the ill-advised round the day of a buddy's wedding. They're the ones you make sure you get in against all odds and better judgement, chasing that high of breaking that PR. It's why we welcome every first tee box with "have a day," and stand over every putt saying "this means everything."
Our mission
Our goal is to make high-quality, comfortable clothes aligned with our golf community. An emphasis on well-designed, casual apparel, inspired by the things we appreciate about the game. We want our clothes to avoid being too on-the-nose with the golf jokes or too stuffy to put in the every-day rotation, …certainly not laying up, but not pin seeking with a long iron to a tucked pin either. These are the clothes for the quick midday range session and an afternoon of errands.
